This is not the first time Pakistan has violated the ceasefire at the LoC. Many civilians have lost their lives in recent years. There was a heavy shelling in the Devta village. The officials said that the Indian Armed Forces in the area were retaliating appropriately.
Army Public Relations Officer Lt Col Devender Anand said that Pakistan targeted the civilian areas some 3 to 4 kilometres from the LoC which was of a great concern.
Irrespective of the fact that 5 innocent died, Pakistani media remained silent on the issue. Even the most popular publications and media houses of Pakistan did not cover this news.
