Focusing too much effort on increasing quota: You might think it’s great to make as many sales as possible in order to please your boss or get promoted quickly; but actually focusing more on what customers need just leads to higher profit margins! It also ensures that there are less products left over at the end of each day. That means fewer opportunities for making mistakes like running out of inventory midweek because someone “did their best” selling two sets when they should have sold five per customer.

You know, you’ve heard the saying “go big or go home.” It’s a sentiment that so many people subscribe to when it comes to starting their own business. But what if you don’t have the resources to start your new company in an industry like tech, real estate, finance?
